History and Present of ACG Praha a.s.
Establishment and Beginnings (1992–2008)
ACG Praha, a.s. was founded in 1992 with the main objective of supporting German-speaking companies (mainly from Austria and Germany) in their entry into the Czech market. Among the founders were the Upper Austrian Raiffeisen Bank based in Linz and the group KPWT, auditors, from Passau. In the first ten years, ACG provided comprehensive services to newly arrived foreign companies – setting up companies, providing headquarters, human resources, accounting and tax services in accordance with the principle of due care.
Gradual Changes and Expansion of Services (2008–2012)
Since 2008, the profile of our clients and the range of our services have changed. The number of foreign companies entering the Czech market has decreased, while the interest of Czech clients in M&A services (especially the sale of companies or parts of companies) has increased. This shift has reflected the development of the market and the new needs of our clients.
Transition to Czech Hands and the Current Structure
In 2012, ACG's ownership shares were fully transferred to Czech owners. The majority share (76%) is held equally by Lenka Hradová and Monika Zittová, while the remaining 24% is owned by the BDO audit group.
